Fridge Brilliance
- One of the teachers says that the maggots only landed on the floor with the students' rooms. Thus getting all the students out of their rooms so they could be searched for any evidence Pat left behind. This is how they get Sara.
- Madame Blanc says that the students can find hotel rooms for the night if they like, while also turning one practice hall into a makeshift dormitory with everyone sleeping together. The former means that they won't be able to catch the teachers searching the rooms if they're in hotels. The latter means they can keep an eye on anyone sneaking back to the rooms to hide evidence.
Fridge Horror
- In the end, all of the witches are struck with the same stab wound to the neck, killing the whole coven. But one faculty member took all of the students except Suzy to the Bolshoi. Presumably, she spontaneously dies from a phantom neck wound in the middle of the ballet performance. That's going to be pretty traumatic for the students.
- Who says that teacher is a witch too? Daniel wasn't one and he worked at the school, so maybe some employees aren't in the coven. And maybe they selected that teacher to take the students because she wasn't a witch?
- The actress who played Olga said that she shot scenes that were inevitably cut from the movie, that showed that Olga was in cahoots with the coven and was herself a young witch-in-training. If that fact remains canon despite it not remaining in the film, that would mean Olga would’ve spontaneously died when the coven all dies of the same stab to the neck.
- Olga's actress also confirmed she would've survived. I always assumed they were setting up her being Mater Lachrymarum.
- The dog that was enchanted to kill Daniel will presumably be put down afterwards, all for something out of his control.
- Suzy saying that she heard Pat speaking to someone as she left the school is what seals Sara's fate. The teachers guess that Pat told someone else about what she'd found, and when they search the rooms they find Sara's notes.
