Fridge Brilliance
- Several reviews have criticized the story for its fancharacters, and it's easy to dismiss Tsali as an edgy copy of Shadow, but on closer examination, Tsali is in many ways the literal antithesis of Tails. Tails is humble and kind; Tsali is violently Ax-Crazy and obsessed with bloodshed. Tails is Wise Beyond Their Years and very mature; Tsali is a Psychopathic Manchild who never grew up underneath his thinly civilized veneer. Tails uses robotics and robots to save the world and help others; Tsali uses them to bring death and suffering upon others. Tails deeply cares for machines; Tsali secretly fears and hates his own mechanical body. While Tails became a hero due to his hard childhood, Tsali was broken by his. Tails forgives slights; Tsali obsessively holds onto past grievances. Or, in other words, Tsali is what Tails could've become if he had never met Sonic and stayed alone forever. Sweet dreams. Combined with Hilarious in Hindsight, one reviewer also commented how eerily similar Tsali's backstory is to Infinite from Sonic Forces, except the fanfic was written years before the game; the author himself didn't realize how similar they were until he read the review.
- Sonic being a cloned "son" of Maledict makes more sense when you realize it's pretty much a quite literal satanic parody of the Immaculate Conception.
