Rei becoming the 'Ork' of the group makes a whole lot of sense when you think about it for a while. She's an artificial being created strictly for fighting and winning. She sprouts, parentless, endlessly like a fungus, born with the knowledge necessary to fight. She breaks the laws of physics with pure thought. And—most importantly, storywise—like the orks, she will prove to have no off switch, and end up much more trouble than she's worth to her creators.
