Fridge Brilliance

  • Mana's Quirk allows her to amplify the emotions of anyone around her. This can be a reference to her Duel Monster counterpart Dark Magician Girl who gets an increase in attack points for any Dark Magician that was used in the same duel as her.
  • Aizawa and Hizashi are preparing to bring in two new kittens to their home while ensuring that their tabby Obelisk won't be overwhelmed. In the anime series, Obelisk required the sacrifice of two monster cards to be maintained in the field.
  • After learning how Yuugi discovered All Might's true form, Sugoroku goes for a shot of sake and gives one to his deceased wife to pay her respect. It's established that his wife and daughter were always protecting Yuugi and giving them an offering was to pay them respect. And in a way, they show that protection by having Yuugi learn of All Might's secret and how it relates to his best friend Izuku. This in turn would make it so that Yuugi along with Jounouchi and Sugoroku can be fully informed of the secrets between the two thus avoiding any potential conflict from keeping secrets. Additionally, the new set of secret keepers will ensure that they can provide various types of support to the Number One Hero and his rising apprentice. Creating a healthier support system compared to canon when it was just the two of them.
  • One of Seto's hopes of going to I-Island with Yuugi was to establish strong connections with the expo visitors and corporate representatives in the hopes of strengthening KaibaCorp's resources. And Yuugi ends up doing that by making friends with Melissa Shield, a rising scientist and heir to I-Island, and Ryo Bakura, a medical assistant with access to valuable medical records.
  • Pegasus's mind-reading powers aren't as threatening as they were in the anime. Well in that series, no one else apart from the Yamis could match him in supernatural powers. And in comparison, everyone else has some type of Quirk to their advantage meaning that the playing field has been leveled against his favor.
  • Aizawa making Mako his secret informant makes sense for a few reasons. One, Mako is presented as an over-the-top Bad Liar Shark Man who attracts too much attention. Or just enough that everyone around him ignores him making it a good case of Hidden in Plain Sight. Two, no one would ever suspect the grim and serious Eraserhead choosing someone as ridiculous and noticeable as Mako as his inside man.
  • Yuugi has his first encounter with Shadi who was analyzing an exhibit dedicated to the Glowing Baby. It's actually a nice reference to their first encounter in Season 0 where they were looking at a mummified pharaoh; one that resembled a baby according to Miho Nosaka.
  • Jounouchi mentions that Tenya has been nagging him for hanging around the girls' bathroom. While this is due to Tenya not knowing about the street rat turning into a girl, it should be noted that his teacher just expelled Class Pervert Mineta for being a creep to the 1-A girls. So not only is Tenya being more vigilant in keeping his girl classmates safe from potential perverts but he's also trying to "help" students like Jounouchi before they face career-ending consequences like his former classmate.
  • Kirishima is given the honor of delivering the opening speech at the Sports Festival. In canon, that honor was given to Bakugou because of his high score during the Entrance Exam while Kirishima was second. But after the "incident" from Book 1 along with Bakugou having a record for illegal Quirk usage, the hothead wouldn't have been able to go all out most likely because he knew that the Yuuei teachers would be looking at him more critically rather then showering him with praise like before. So by holding himself back, he wouldn't have received a top score resulting in Kirishima taking the top spot.

Fridge Horror

  • How was it for Ryou to have first developed his Out of Body Experience Quirk when he was just a kid? Did he unintentionally hurt anyone throughout it's development?
  • As Toshinori realizes, anyone with an Empathy Quirk or aura reading abilities could uncover his All Might persona just by looking at his aura. One can only hope that none of his enemies have such an ability or think to use such methods to track him down.
  • It's a huge relief that Izuku was able to unlock and train with Black Whip before taking the Entrance Exam. Just imagine how everyone would react if he was forced to use the raw power of One For All resulting in a broken arm.
    • On the other hand, Izuku unlocking Black Whip, a Quirk belonging to a previous holder that faced off and lost against All For One, would make him easier to identify by the King of Villains himself.
    • Nagare actually was able to figure out something similar when he saw Izuku, a former Quirkless kid, using an Energy Conversion Quirk that belonged to a low-level criminal. If someone like Nagare could connect the dots, what's stopping any other potential villains from doing the same.
  • It's stated that several Pros were killed when Shigaraki and Dabi broke Overhaul out of prison. And given that Dabi was pissed that Overhaul's men went out of their way to target sidekicks from Endeavor's agency, what is the chance that some of the Flaming Sidekickers were killed off during the prison break?
  • All For One capturing Overhaul means that he now has the power of disassembly.
  • During the Sports Festival Attack, Yuugi and Seto encounter a "Nomu" who was made from the corpse of a familiar yakuza. How did All For One decide to use such a corpse for his Nomu experiment? And given that Raguzaki, a yakuza that Yuugi was actually acquainted with, also died recently, what's the likelihood that he also became a Nomu?
