After jumping over a car, Xavier takes a brief moment to kiss his key necklace. Earlier in the film it was established that Xavier's mother thought he was a great skater, and it's implied that the key necklace was a gift from her. Xavier feels his mother watching over him, and quickly pays tribute to her.
