Evolutionarily, the Sekoi are humans in reverse. Humans started out inhabiting a standard arboreal primate niche, and evolved into a more predatory niche when forced out of that one (efficient walking, tool use), though we retain plenty of primate traits. The Sekoi, on the other hand, retain predatory traits (piercing and tearing teeth), though they now inhabit a primate niche (obligate frugivory).
