At first it seems like Suzanne is going for There Is No Kill Like Overkill when she unloads her entire clip into Lyle, killing him. It is revealed she shot and tried to kill Kurt, but failed since the man was able to get up and get help, causing more problems for her. She was making sure he was not going to get up.
