Fridge Brilliance

  • Who is Ares? Fitchner, or, as he is called as a proctor, Mars.
  • The reason Sevro is so short compared to other golds is because his mother was a Red.
  • Likewise, the description of Fitchner sounding proud when talking about how Priam died makes more sense when you find out that he's the father of Sevro, who was Priam's intended victim in the Passage. Of course he's proud that his son managed to survive the culling.
  • Before going with Darrow and Mustang to offer Cassius a chance to flee the battle before someone tries to take a shot at him in the chaos, Sevro is seen drinking from a flask before going down to the Morning Star's brig. Darrow drank from his uncle's Haemanthus oil-filled flask shortly before his own faked death. This serves as the first clue that Cassius' betrayal was staged.

Fridge Horror

  • Darrow blew up the shipyards of Ganymede in Morning Star. As Victra and Holiday note, most of the casualties would have been lower colors like Reds and Oranges. The Sons of Ares knew that Darrow was going to be forced to abandon resistance efforts in the Rim until they'd dealt with the Core, but how pissed will the Reds and other oppressed lowColors on the Rim be when they discover that the man they saw as a savior was the one who blew up their shipyards.

Fridge Logic

  • Gold have Au and Silver have Ag between their first and last name. What is the chemical element symbol of Gold and Silver, Au and Ag.
  • Also confirmed in later installments are the signifiers of several other Colors— Blue with xe (xenon), Copper having cu, and Greys with ti (titanium).
