Why is Rimmer still on board the Red Dwarf after Lister alters time? It's specified that Kryten and The Cat aren't there because Lister brought them onboard. But Rimmer was only brought back as a hologram to keep Lister sane, so he shouldn't be there either.
Holly possibly kept Rimmer as a hologram knowing he'd restore the status quo as he would inevitably screw up his attempt to make himself rich.
When Rimmer travels back to rich Lister's house and his own boarding school, there doesn't seem to be anybody around with a camera to take the pictures he's travelling into.
Why did somebody take a photograph of eight year old boys sleeping in a dormitory?
One source has speculated that the photograph may have been part of an advertising campaign for the school.
While the episode seems to be trying to imply that Lister's presence didn't alter anything about the 1944 attempt to assassinate Hitler other than the latter having a scuffle with some random Englishman before the bomb exploded, there's just enough ambiguity to present the awful possibility that Lister's presence unwittingly caused the assassination attempt to fail, thus dragging out the war in Europe by a further year. (On the other hand, if Hitler was assassinated, then likely his successor would have been more competent and the war would have dragged on longer.)
