Fridge / Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan

Fridge Logic:

  • How did the Ouendan get back from Ancient Egypt?
    • The same way they got there in the first place, presumably.
  • How do levels that take place in more than one day work? Do they take a break or is it an actual cheer marathon?
    • The Ouendan are only cheering during the times when you actually have to do something. They only cheer when the subject needs it, in other words. So yes, they take breaks.

Fridge Brilliance:

  • Excluding Orange Range's cover of Monkey Magic (which was originally done by godiego), all songs by the returning artistsnote  are featured in levels with the Yuuhi Town Ouendan, the Ouendan team from the first game. However, every song featured in levels with the Asahi Town Ouendan are by artists that were never represented in the first game. This implies that the Yuuhi Town Ouendan owns the licensing rights to use the aforementioned three artists' songs during their performances.
  • If you're wondering why the final two levels of the sequel don't pit the Ouendan against a Big Bad, it's because the developers thought up of a more interesting "nemesis" for both Ouendan to conquer: the dangerous possibility of an ice age caused by the sun inexplicably running out of fuel. It makes sense because the game uses fire as a symbol for cheering passion and the coldness of ice would be a counter-symbol, representing despair and lifelessness.

Fridge Horror:

  • Part of the entire map in the first game gets reused in the second, although a couple of changes were made to the surrounding area. Was it because of the Time Skip... or something different?
