• Fridge Brilliance: In "The Return of Harmony part 1", Fluttershy was the one pony that Discord couldn't break with More than Mind Control. Was this because of Fluttershy's presumed Incorruptible Pure Pureness, or did she already have a soft spot for Discord because she's a Nightmare Fetishist?
• Discord's "normal" outfit is him emulating Fred Rogers via a red sweater. Mr. Rogers was known to tell children that they were special as they were, or "You make every day special just by being you". This helps emphasize with the Be Yourself aesop of the episode.

• Fridge Horror:
  • Discord almost dies because he distances himself from his chaotic nature. The implications of this are staggering.
  • And if Discord had vanished, would Fluttershy have been able to get home? Would she have been trapped in the chaos dimension forever? Would the entire realm have disappeared with Discord—taking Fluttershy with it?
  • Speaking of being trapped in the chaos dimension, poor Parcel Post is still floating around there.
