This episode was an excellent example of the issue of coexistence. Look at Rarity and Sweetie Belle, then at Applejack and Apple Bloom. Not hard to see where Sweetie Belle was going here.
During the Aesop segment, Sweetie Belle's life skills show steady progress. Say what you will about farm life being complicated, but as her time at Sweet Apple Acres has shown, any farmer will see a huge payoff later on.
