• The time loop is created from the body of a primordial, similar to the regular universe. Meaning each month, a fully functional universe is created and destroyed. Including all its inhabitants, and their souls. Regardless of how many people die in the invasion and the incursion afterwards, it might have been ethically better to leave the loop early and fail rather than let that many unique souls be created only to be terminated.
  • This would be true if it were just the invasion, but there's a serious risk that the primordial could be released. Whatever it would do on its own is certainly worse than what it's forced to do for the loop.
