How did Scorpion obtain jets of his own to fight against the Dragon Jets?
The very existence of more raptors in "Acid Tongue", when it was established since Mortal Kombat II that Reptile is the last of his species. Note that Khameleon and her backstory didn't exist until Trilogy, long after this show ended its run.
Actually, the second game merely established that their species was on the way to going extinct, Reptile wasn't the last known member of his species until the third or fourth game. Every adaptation of the series from that era included others of his species. (Rayden fights some in Annihilation and Conquest had them as recurring antagonists).
