Fridge Logic:

• If Spasm causes all the muscles to contract and stay that way, why doesn't it kill, since the heart and gut muscles would be affected?
  • Basically: The body contains three major types of muscles
    • Cardiac: an involuntary muscle that makes up the heart;
    • Smooth: also involuntary, found in organs like the stomach and intestines, blood vessels, bladder and urethra, and so on.
    • Striated/skeletal: Voluntary; the muscles that move the body. These muscles are usually under the conscious control of the person.
  • Spasm affects the striated muscles only.
