Fridge / Mark of the Ninja

Go To

Fridge Brilliance

  • Use a Flare Bomb against enemies wearing Night-Vision Goggles and you'll blind them, additionally, enemies wearing gas masks are immune to the upgraded Smoke Bomb.
  • One of the supposed symptoms of the mark is increased aggression. But the marked ninja never seems that angry... but Ora, the hallucination caused by the mark, is always ready to suggest violence. You could pickpocket that guy, but she'll first suggest killing him. You could take out the helicopter's fuel supply, but she'll first suggest killing the pilot.
  • One of the endings. Why Azai doesn't even bother putting up a fight or calling more ninjas to protect him? Because the Marked Ninja has proven one too many times that even though he's fallen to the madness he's still just as dangerous and resourceful as before. You bested far better equipped enemies and even your own fellow ninjas who are stated to be as skilled as you.
  • There are a couple of situations where you can try to Script Break and lure Ora and the guards into a fight. The guards can't see her and won't intentionally target her, but if their bullets hit anyway, you take damage.
    • In the very first level it's possible to distract two guards such that they shine their lights directly at Ora without seeing you, but they ignore her despite tracking down and beating every other ninja in the level.
  • As the game goes on, each World becomes more and more weird. The two first Worlds are normal, barring the over-the-top cyber-punk-esque design sensibilities, but as you get to Tabriz, the background constantly has a faint layer of traditional ink-paintings of fog and clouds in the background. The last stage goes all out with a heavy background ink filter and hallucination galore, signifiying the tattoos driving the Marked Ninja insane.
