The One deciding to split herself into Marcel and Durick despite the great strain for the filming of Two Of Everything sounds like an illogical decision at first glance. However for her to get resurrected afterward, she needs to be in front of the camera. She could have made a movie with Durick playing the main protagonist as well and not bother with Marcel... of course, as people familiar with acting/directing know, directing with yourself as an actor is quite an exhausting process... almost like splitting yourself in two.
