Fridge / Halo: Hunters in the Dark

• Fridge Logic: For some reason, no one points out that, thanks to the destruction of both the Alpha Halo and its replacement, there is a significant chunk of the galaxy that will not be affected by the firing of the Ark. There is also the possibility that the Delta Halo may fail to fire thanks to the damage inflicted on it in Halo 2. Solitude should know that.
  • It shouldn't be hard for him to build a new ring or repair 05 with all the resources stripmined from Earth to close the gap. Or he could just send his Retrievers to slaughter anything in those areas. So there's that.
  • Silentium also indicates that the firing ranges of the rings actually overlap at least somewhat; given the fact that the rings are also capable of moving, Solitude still might have been able to kill off most of the galaxy with just six Halos just by rearranging their locations a bit.
