• 1x06, "The Truth About Lies," has Cassie help Sam get ready for his date with Stephanie after Abigail messed it up, and they share a few tender moments. After watching Cassie and Sam hook up, at first this becomes Hilarious in Hindsight...then the brilliance kicks in: Abigail was deliberately playing matchmaker: not for Sam and Stephanie, but for Sam and Cassie!
• Ben Patterson disappearing after his breakup with Stephanie makes a lot of sense. Not only is he no longer connected to the main characters, but there's also the fact that much of the show's action centers around the Bistro. It's pretty understandable he wouldn't really want to hang out with his ex. He may even have moved out of Middleton entirely, given what a relatively small place it is.
• In 6x03, "The Anniversary," Abigail and Donovan are able to take a major step towards breaking the curse. They attribute it to being in the place where the curse began. However, there's something else: we later learn that there are two Merriwicks in addition to two Davenports in that room. No wonder they were able to make progress!
