Fridge Brilliance:

  • The male Gallavants are blue while the females are pink. However, the Queen is purple. Because not only is the queen the only one who stands out in a colony, purple is also a color associated with royalty!
  • It may seem rather random to have a two-headed worm-monster be the villain of a cartoon about ants, but if you're familiar with mythology you may have heard of the Amphisbaena, a serpent with a head at both ends that is said to feed on ants!
  • Antonim criticizes Teetor for being "past his prime", and later says that Shando's kabump is more than meets the eye. Rather insignificant comments, but Hilarious in Hindsight when you recall that Antonim is voiced by Peter Cullen, known for playing Optimus Prime!

Fridge Horror:

  • Shando's false kabump is revealed to have been an egg that rolled away and got over-exposed to the magic light, turning it into stone. So basically, the fake kabump is a hideously disfigured mutant baby Gallavant?
  • The Gallavant's kabumps grow from their abdomens when they're fully mature. So is "Kabumping Day" puberty, and the kabumps basically genitalia?

Fridge Logic

  • The Ova Sanctum is shown to have lots and lots of eggs, with no explanation where they come from. Assumingly, like real ants, they're all laid by the Queen...but she never seems to be associated with them in any way?
    • If you listen to the lyrics carefully, the lyrics in song in the Kabumpers tavern is singing when the kids first sneak in consist of a G-Rated encouragement to mate. Perhaps the Gallavants communally send their fertilized eggs to the Ova Sanctum for the Attend-ants to deal with and royalty is randomly born?
  • Are all Vantervipers two-headed or is Edil and Fice a freak exception? They refer to each other as "twins", but at the same time they're simply referred to as "a Vanterviper" by the Gallavants.
  • Why do Radi-ants have to both gather and transport their own sun-crystals when there's literally a guild dedicated to moving things around? Wouldn't it be more efficient to just spend all that time gathering?
