Fridge / For The Mission

• Fridge Horror: After the paralyzed future Martha gets petrified where she stands by Nate at the end of their battle she soon disappears when Nate writes back to his team, explaining himself so Martha wouldn't go insane trying to find him. Well, it changes the future... but if he never wrote back, he and Martha would be locked in a Stable Time Loop, as follows:
  • 1.Nate meets Martha and goes on adventures with her.
  • 2.Dusknoir doesn't know Nate/isn't ordered to capture Nate, so Nate isn't taken to the future.
  • 3.Grovyle dies to protect Celebi, leading Nate to his Zero-Approval Gambit.
  • 4.Nate keeps Martha from going to the Hidden Land, so she won't see him disappear.
  • 5.Dark Martha comes back to "save" Nate from fighting Dialga (murdering her team in the process, because they wanted to wait and help him, and that would make him disappear).
  • 6.She attacks Nate, after ensuring Celebi's demise and killing a weakened Dusknoir.
  • 7.Nate defeats her with brutal efficiency after finding out that she killed their team, but does not kill her. He leaves her to live out the rest of her existence while she watches him complete his mission. Once she attacks him, he shows her the necklace she gave her with his explorer badge. She stops in shock, remembering her team and the adventures she shared with Nate. Nate then petrifies her while she's distracted.
  • 8.Nate loses to Dialga, and the planet's paralysis is assured.
  • 9.The past Martha grows up to be the Dark Martha, while the future Martha dies (presumably from starvation) from being unable to move.
  • 10.Nate is reborn in the new Bad Future, but Martha doesn't interfere yet, having learned of what happens when the future changes, becoming Primal Dialga's right-hand Pokemon to manipulate the events so that she'll still exist.
  • See events 1-4.
  • 11.The new Dark Martha travels back in time to a point where they would both exist if she intervened.
  • See events 5-8.
