Fridge Brilliance

  • This is probably the only Disney park show where Mickey outright destroys the villains. It may seem out-of-character for a bright and cheery fellow like Mickey to electrocute and blow up the bad guys, until you remember that the entire story takes place in his imagination; he never actually hurt anyone. If anything, the villains represent his deepest, darkest nightmares, so it could be interpreted as him vanquishing his fears.
    • Also, in the Florida version, while most of the villains are reacting to the lightning, Hades doesn't seem to mind it, only wincing as he reacts to seeing the other villains being destroyed. Why? Because he's a Physical God who cannot truly die.
  • Imagination serves as the central theme of the show, and in this particular case, it's Mickey Mouse's. We see him imagine things like bright beautiful landscapes, happy princes and princesses, swashbuckling pirates and more, all of which originate from movies across the Disney canon. Hmmm, pirates, princesses, and other characters coming from the mind of a single person... is it really Mickey's imagination, or is he just a representation of Walt himself?
