Fridge / Even For Eternia

Go To

  • Fridge Brilliance:
    • Rubellum starts the story ignorant of the public's opinion of the Umbra, which may be one of the reasons why Arisu chose her. People who don't know about anti-Umbra discrimination are more likely to accept Arisu's offer.
    • Arisu doesn't seem to try very hard during their boss battle, since they bail despite not suffering any significant damage. Considering how chill they are with Rubellum using the Calypso, it seems likely that this was all a Xanatos Gambit so that the Calypso will be used to either improve or reset the world depending on whether or not Rubellum defeats Eternia. Since Arisu considers the current world a failure, he probably considers either outcome acceptable.
  • Fridge Horror: Despite how common Wraith outbreaks are, the public doesn't acknowledge that only Umbra can kill Wraiths despite all evidence to the contrary. Yet several in-game books in various government buildings have such evidence. It's possible all the governments are trying to suppress this information on purpose, even if it means non-Umbra will inevitably throw away their lives attempting to fight Wraiths. Anti-Umbra discrimination runs so deep that the governments would rather allow humanity to go extinct than seek coexistence with the Umbra.
  • Fridge Logic: Rubellum's ignorance regarding the bad reputation of the Umbra doesn't make sense considering that she's from Veliter. The guards of the town and her father see the Umbra as monsters, yet she only learned about the Umbra recently.
