• In the beginning, when Evan insists he already has a plan, God laughs at the statement. It's only later you learn he wasn't being an insensitive God. Once it's revealed Senator Long was setting up Evan to support a bill that would deforest nature reserves that you see he really was trying to help Evan with his plan ("Change the world"). He's just amused because Evan's going about it all wrong by blindly following somebody else's selfish idea of changing the world.

• Does anyone remember why God created the first rainbow after Noah's flood? Because it was his sign that he would never flood the earth again. This is a subtle hint that when God said "A flood is coming", he didn't say it was a world-wide flood.
