Fridge Brilliance

  • Why was the DT-87's electric shocks ineffective against Bouncer Beagle? Because it was programmed to keep Louie from leaving his room, not harm him.
  • Ma Beagle is the only one who offers advice to Glomgold and calls the shots as he creates his Legion of Doom. It makes sense given that she's an Evil Matriarch who actually has experience organizing groups of evildoers and keeping everyone in line. With the exception of Don Karnage, all the other villains have either worked alone (Glomgold, Magica, Mark Beaks) or are low level minions (the Beagle Boys).
    • Just as important: if it all goes down in flames, all the blame's on Glomgold.
  • If you look at Glomgold's "family" photo, each of the Beagle Boys' faces are placed above a triplet that correlates with their personality.
    • Burger is the Huey: both of them are considered the smarter and more sensible brother as they often express concern when it comes to ideas that could fail.
    • Bouncer is the Dewey: both of them are the toughest among their brothers but have a sensitive side and aren't afraid to express how they feel.
    • Bigtime is the Louie: both of them come up with crazy and potentially dangerous schemes and are looked down upon by their respective families for trying to act on them. And despite this, they both aim to prove themselves worthy by any means necessary.
  • As mentioned back in "The Most Dangerous Game Night", and reiterated here, Louie's particular talent, and the trait he shares with Della, is the ability to see all the different angles of a situation. The episode ends with Della promising to be there to help Louie with the angles he can't see. Indeed, the early parts of the episode show that Della is superior to Louie in this respect as she anticipates every move Louie might have made to try and get around his punishment while everyone was away.
  • Why didn't Glomgold recruit an Evil Counterpart to Della? Because he was using a photo of Scrooge's family as reference, which was probably taken before Della returned to Earth.
    • No Donald counterpart either. Why? Because Donald was probably the one who took the picture in the first place, thus why he isn’t in it.
  • "I surrender! Where is Gyro? I'm supposed to be fighting Gyro!" Gyro Gearloose manages the Money Bin's security systems, Mark. He's in the Bin's security office monitoring the events on its front steps.
    • This also highlights a key flaw in Glomgold's plan. Yes, Gyro is an important element in Scrooge's success, but he's not a member of the family, in the sense that he doesn't typically join in on the adventures. Mark Beaks also tends to be hands-off in his schemes (he operates in a different market than Scrooge and only gets into a direct confrontation with an opponent when under the influence of Gandra's nanites). Glomgold has given himself the same tools Scrooge has, but he has no understanding of how to actually use them. He should have utilized Mark Beaks in the same way Scrooge utilizes Gyro, providing him with tech to handle the challenge he's facing, instead of throwing him into a physical confrontation he's clearly unprepared for. He'd summed it up earlier in his conversation with Ma Beagle, stating he was going to use the Power of Love without any understanding of how or why it works, and also demonstrated it by dismissing the other Beagles because he was trying to make himself an exact copy of Scrooge's family. Having some extra muscle around would have helped in the fight, but Glomgold didn't think that far ahead.
  • Glomgold's gloating when he apparently won the contest didn't trigger Bombie's pink energy effect. Of course it didn't; he only thought he was the richest duck in the world, so his boasts were meaningless.
  • How on Earth did Louie know more about contract law than Glomgold? Because Louie's run a company before, as a directly-involved hands-on boss. Glomgold is hands-off, mostly seeing his company as a tool to use against Scrooge and going along with whatever his CFO tells him.
  • Glomgold claims in his "Theme Song Takeover" that he's technically also Scottish, which "The Ballad Of Duke Baloney!" has shown is actually a lie. "Flintheart Glomgold" is actually a fake persona that he keeps insisting on passing off as real...which ends up being exactly how Louie foils him in the end.
  • Why doesn't Don Karnage wear a civilian disguise like the rest of his "family" when they go to Funso's to see Magica? Because Funso's is known for having a nautical theme, the sky pirate's ensemble could make him pass for a children's entertainer/employee allowing him to be Hidden in Plain Sight. That and he normally doesn't reside in Duckburg so he would have an easier time being in public spaces, unlike the rest of the high-profile villains.
  • Why didn't Louie run away from the villains when they invaded the house? After all, he could have gone into another room and climbed out of the window. But he did not even try to hide, but immediately went out to the villains. Such boldness is uncharacteristic for him. But at that time, Louie most of all wanted to free himself from punishment and prevent the prohibition of his schemes. Perhaps, having recovered from the initial fright, he realized the opportunity that had opened up. The risk was huge, but thanks to the stupidity of the villains, the plan succeeded. Louie outsmarted them in front of the family, and his mother forgave him. Thus, although she had previously stopped all escape attempts, Louie was eventually able to outwit and defeat her.
    • Alternately, he sees Magica and, not knowing how much of a threat she is or isn't when she banishes Duckworth without her magic, doesn't bother to run. Then it becomes clear that Glomgold is leading them ...and that's when he starts manipulating them. Because Louie knows he can play Glomgold like a harmonica.
  • We learn here that Magica DeSpell essentially has the same job now as Panchito Pistoles.

Fridge Logic

  • Assuming that the implication of Louie's victory in the bet is that Duke Baloney never got his name legally changed to "Flintheart Glomgold", wouldn't that mean any contract he signed under that name is invalid, possibly meaning that he legally wasn't the owner of his own company in the first place?
  • There was a laser gate in front of the door out of the triplet's room. How exactly was Louie supposed to get out to either get food or use the bathroom?
    • The robot could let him out for food and bathroom use, or for the food, the robot could bring it to Louie.
  • Why is Gyro even in that picture Glomgold has? Did they take it after "The Most Dangerous Game... Night!"?
