The show makes reference to the "Over 9000" meme, which is now more than a decade old and is pretty much a Discredited Meme. However, the character referencing the meme is Della, who was stuck on the Moon for a decade - the meme was at the peak of its popularity around the time she left Earth.
Once they enter their game, Della jumps into questing and combat, while Huey contents himself with farming XP. The result: when faced with a boss monster, Della finds herself at a massive disadvantage, whereas Huey has so much XP that he's outleveled the boss many times over and turned its encounter into a Curb-Stomp Battle. How Della's playing is reminiscent of MMO games like World of Warcraft, where combat and questing are pretty much how you gain levels and grow more powerful. The way Huey's playing is more closer to games like The Elder Scrolls, where the biggest Game Breakers can often be found by exploiting the games' farming and crafting mechanics.
Another potential reason Della isn't up to fighting the monster is that she hasn't played the game for a decade—assuming there have been updates and expansions, it's likely Della's character is far below the current level cap and that she can't yet keep up with the game's newer additions. (Presumably, the dragon she fought earlier was an older/lower-level monster she was familiar with.)
Why is Glomgold attending Doofus's party? Aside from just his usual greed, there's the fact that the deadline of his bet with Scrooge is fast approaching, and - as demonstrated a few episodes later - he's nowhere near getting enough money to win. The gift bags Doofus was giving out were a prime opportunity to give an increasingly-desperate Glomgold a significant monetary boost.
It makes perfect sense for B.O.Y.D. to have a built-in wi-fi system, as it would mean that Beaks would have free wi-fi anywhere he went as long as he took his fake son with him.
One of the background characters at Doofus Drake's party, the first to be caught and eliminated, is a Willy WonkaExpy. This foreshadows the plot twist that the party was all a test to find Doofus a new Gummeemama, in a similar manner to Wonka's Golden Ticket contest secretly being a test of which child would inherit his factory.

The glass box that Doofus had imprisoned Goldie in didn't seem to have any holes for ventilation. If Louie hadn't had the conscience to go back and free her, how long would it have been until she ran out of oxygen in there?
