Fridge Brilliance
Comic Strip
- Dick Tracy has a literal pun in his profile. He's a square-jawed hero.
- He's also a dick, which is a slang term for a detective. Not so much the other thing it's become known as.
- Massively stretching the fridge factor on this one.

The 1990 Movie
- The novelization confirms that 88 Keyes and Breathless Mahoney are carrying on an affair. While Breathless is interested in Tracy, she is certainly not waiting on him. Using 88 Keyes as her minion allows her to also protect him as he becomes a valued part of Big Boy's organization instead of a disposable goon.
- Even without this context, the fact that Big Boy horribly abuses 88 Keyes gives Breathless reason to think he'll turn on him.
- Tracy getting arrested causes the police to become completely helpless. Police Are Useless, right? Well, if a paragon like Dick Tracy can be corrupted then that will have a massive demoralizing effect. Not to mention the District Attorney was also revealed as corrupt.
- Big Boy's plan to break the barricade around his club is just a We Have Reserves act by a Dirty Coward sacrificing of his goons to give him time to escape.
