- Upon first viewing, Frank and Lindsay come off as needlessly bitter of their circumstances and Frank’s family. Their snarkiness and jaded conversations (which they do nothing to hide) would normally put a damper on any event, much less a wedding. But upon observing the events of the wedding (possibly with a Rewatch Bonus) it becomes apparent that not many people attending the wedding are actually happy to be there. It can be observed that events related to the wedding (with the exception of the ceremony and reception) do not have full attendance. At both the first dinner and the last breakfast, many tables are empty. There is even an open dance floor for the first dinner but nobody is dancing. Even the winery visit, which should be a jovial wine-tasting event, is very muted and quiet. When you pay attention to what’s going on in the background, it’s easy to see that Frank and Lindsay aren’t the only people miserable.
