Death Warmed Over states that Dan's own autopsy was a virtual one done with medical-imaging technology, which spared him from having to sport an unsightly Y-incision or a sawed-open skull once he reanimated. This seems inconsistent with the detailed non-virtual autopsy which the Quarter's M.E. performs on Snazz the gremlin in Unnatural Acts, making it appear to be a continuity error. However, Hair Raising establishes that Dr. Victor is newly married; he was probably away on his honeymoon when Dan got shot, and whomever subbed for him while he and Harriet were out of town performed Dan's postmortem using non-invasive methods.
