Fridge Logic:

Somehow, Edgar is able to enter Doris' memory of killing herself, then take her place so he kills himself instead, which then prevents her from being condemned in the afterlife as a suicide. This also stops his wife from murdering him, for which she'd also end up getting condemned. However, Edgar and Doris were both already dead, so how is all that even possible? Their deaths already happened-how can they alter the past? Yet Edgar is still condemned for suicide by doing this... What?
