  • O'Reilly telling Tyrone not to get involved in police work makes sense when Word of God confirms this is the same Detective O’Reilly mentioned in Season 2 of Luke Cage
  • It's been a fact of the previous Divine Pairings that one must die, but both Tyrone and Tandy survived. How did they subvert this? Tyrone receives the original mark, pops into the core, and would have died shutting it down— usual for the Divine Pairing. However, Tandy follows him and refuses to leave, stating that she would die with him rather than leave him. At this point, she is also marked, and they use their powers to bring everything back into balance, which it turns out they can survive. The key change here is that the previous Divine Pairings accepted that one of them had to die, Tyrone and Tandy were both very willing to die, refusing to live on without each other. They both lived because they were both ready to die.
    • An alternate take is that Tandy and Tyrone are two halves of a single entity being only one side of the Divine Pairing, with the other side being Brigid O’ Reilly who does sacrifice herself to buy Tandy and Tyrone time.
  • Tandy's blunt reactions to people who stay with abusive partners in the support group from series two makes sense when you consider Tandy's relationship with Liam in series one. In episode 2 when Liam calls her from jail she has no reservations about abandoning him, and later into the season he runs off on her shortly after she gets him out of jail. To her it's easy to drop people without a thought, and she believes other people are the same.
