Fridge Brilliance

  • Zobeks true identity as a Lord of Shadow is foreshadowed as much as the first scene he appears in, his armor is dull and the metal parts are clearly rusted, while you might assume it is because he is an older member of the brotherhood. The brotherhood takes pride in their armor, whereas Zobeks looks like it hasn't been touched in years, even the leather is much more faded looking than Gabriels.
  • The reason Laura stops from killing Gabriel? She saw Gabriel interact with Marie, She was both touched and jealous of their adult love, something, as an eternal child she will never have, it probably also triggered her Death Seeker instincts to sacrifice herself for Gabriel, knowing she would never ever be able to have what Gabriel and Marie had, the closest thing being giving her life to make Gabriel more powerful.
  • Gabriel is rumored to be a son of the Cronqvist merchant family. Considering what became of the last Cronqvist we saw in the series....
    • Yeah, you could take it further actually, in the Self-Demonstrating page of Dracula, Vlad claims they are two separate people, but, both Dracs could actually be the one, and the same, Mathias Cronqvist, the only difference being a parent took responsibility for him in the original timeline, and in the new one, a parent didn't. Add to the fact that both Belmont lineages trace back to an Alucard as well...
  • Zobek is alive and well at the end, and talks to Dracula like they've been friends for a while. But then, he's the Lord of the Dead, a.k.a. Death — of course he and Drac are pals.

Fridge Horror

  • Zobek mentions in the the Wygol Village opening narration that he has "matters to attend to here, matters that could spoil our plans". Where do we see him? in a graveyard piled with soldiers bodies, also note that the villagers close their windows up upon seeing Gabriel, Zobek tells Gabriel that the Vampires came and slaughtered everyone, much more likely it was Zobek, not wanting the people to delay or stop Gabriel from attempting to take the Villages only defense away, the holy water subweapon, or perhaps he slaughtered them to stop them from storming the church and taking it.
  • Vampires cannot breed in the LoS universe, so where on earth did Frankenstein get a vampire embryo? perhaps he deliberately infected a pregnant woman with vampirism, or even worse cut it out of a pregnant woman and infected the embryo directly, perhaps with Carmilla's inability to have children of her own made this her Even Evil Has Standards moment which she tortured Frankenstein.
