- Fridge Logic: In the original instead of having his breakdown, George could have just convinced another person to give him his or her soul, and then, gave it back to them, thus passing the entrance exam. If he had explained the situation, he probably could have even convinced Stanley to give up his soul, again.
- Hey, he's the Devil. Why play it straight when deceiving people is what you're best known for?
- To have some sympathy for the Devil, I think George realizes God is using Exact Words to screw him over.
- To diminish some of that sympathy for the Devil, God is using Exact Words and screwing George over on a technicality in exactly the same way that George screwed Stanley over using Exact Words and technicalities.
