- This game provides a reason why Singularity's Phenomenal Affirmation didn't work on Arch-Eve Origin Bayonetta. In Bayonetta 3, Singularity killed Jeanne; in Origins, he shows past her death and tells her that it will be inevitable if she keeps opposing him. When Jeanne decided to accept that outcome, her fate was set in stone - and in order for that to come true, the events of both games must happen, and Singularity must be defeated by Cereza. Singularity couldn't use his Phenomenal Affirmation against Bayonetta 3 because, back in the past, he already "affirmed the phenomenon" of his eventual defeat.
