Fridge / Batwheels

Fridge Brilliance

  • The theme song's lyrics name the Batwheels as 4-wheeled fighters of crime, though of them, only Bam, Buff, and Redbird are immediately recognized as 4-wheeled vehicles, with Bibi being a motorcycle and the Batwing being a jet. However, Bibi's wheels are split and she has an ATV mode, while Batwing has two bird leg-like landing gear with two wheels on each, giving both of them four wheels each in total.

  • It makes sense why Snowy is the most sympathetic of the Legion of Zoom. His driver, Mr. Freeze is usually portrayed as a Tragic Villain and one of the least villainous criminals in Batman's rouges gallery. Even if he went through some changes in this series, it seems that the sympathetic portrayal was not lost on Snowy.
    • Similarily, Harley Quinn is usually portrayed as a villain under the manipulation of the Joker, but sometimes allies herself with the side of good. Similarily to Jestah in "Mechanic Panic", where she spent most of the episode away from the Zoomers.
    • Kitty, despite being the main vehicle of the villainous thief Catwoman, is rather cheerful and friendly. Catwoman in a lot of Batman media is a chaotic neutral love interest of Batman, and even a good guy sometimes.

Fridge Horror

  • The Batwheels are known to be around childhood to teenage years mentally. It's rather fortunate that this is a Lighter and Softer Gotham, or they'd be in for a rude awakening in crimefighting. That's not even counting how the Legion of Doom is in most depictions.

  • In "Up in the Air", the Penguin fully intended to throw Batman off his airship on air. In front of all of Gotham City. Let me reiterate. The Penguin was willing to Kill Gotham's hero in front of everyone. Not even caring for the many who'd be scarred or affected for life. And this is a preschool show.
