Twisters is a 2024 Disaster Movie and a standalone sequel to the 1996 film Twister. It is directed by Lee Issac Chung (Minari) and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Maura Tierney, Daryl McCormack, Sasha Lane, Kiernan Shipka, and Nik Dodani.
The film follows two teams of storm chasers - one comprised of scientists testing a new weather tracking system and the other a group of thrill seeking influencers - who must work together to survive a nasty crossing of deadly storm systems wreaking havoc across Oklahoma. The film will premiere July 19, 2024.

Twisters includes examples of the following:
- Admiring the Abomination: Kate Cooper and Tyler Owens take a moment in the trailer to admire and complement a nasty looking tornado from a distance.
- Call-Back: In the trailer, a Dorothy Mark V (a fifth iteration of the invention from the first movie) disperses sensors into a tornado.
- Cool Car: Tyler is shown in the trailer to have a cool - if beaten up Dodge Ram Pickup truck he uses for his storm chasing. It comes with a drill to attach the truck to the ground when the tornado passes over them.
