A 1993 American Comedy Drama directed by Keva Rosenfeld that has a 20 dollar bill going into and out of the lives of several different people.

The movie stars Linda Hunt, Brendan Fraser, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Gladys Knight, Rosemary Murphy, Concetta Tomei, Melora Walters, Elisabeth Shue, Steve Buscemi, Christopher Lloyd, Matt Frewer, Spalding Gray, Jeremy Piven, William H. Macy, David Schwimmer, Diane Baker, Alan North, and Kevin Kilner.

It was released on October 22, 1993.


Tropes for the film:

  • Gentleman Thief: Gentleman Jimmy always wears a suit and tie to knock over liquor stores, with lines like: "Good evening, we were just robbing the store, will you both lie down on the floor, please? Right now, please." "Thank you, have a nice evening".
  • I Want You to Meet an Old Friend of Mine: Lloyd and Shue previously worked together on Back to the Future Part II and Back to the Future Part III.
  • The Nondescript: Jimmy is a gentlemanly armed robber states as a "life lesson" that "a well-dressed man is invisible", in that people will only remember the clothes, not the face.
  • Object-Tracking Shot: It could be said that Twenty Bucks is an Object-Tracking Movie, following a twenty-dollar bill from the mint to the shredder and observing all the lives it touched.
