A 1943 American wartime Musical Comedy directed by Michael Curtiz that follows a wounded soldier (George Murphy) staging a show for his fellow soldiers.

The movie also stars Joan Leslie, Ronald Reagan, George Tobias, Alan Hale Sr, Charles Butterworth, Dolores Costello, Una Merkel, and Stanley Ridges.

It was released on August 14, 1943.

  • The Film of the Play: Based on the Play of the same name.
  • Last Wish Marriage: Johnny Jones marries his girlfriend before being sent overseas, which at the beginning of the film he's against doing.
  • Reveille: In the early portion of the film, which takes place during World War I, Reveille is blown by an actual bugler magnified through a giant megaphone so the whole camp can here. During the World War II section of the film it's played from a recording through a PA system.
  • Tagline: "It's you own army - in the army's own show!".
  • Wartime Wedding: The soldier and his girlfriend nearly don't get married for fear of leaving her a single mother, but in the end she convinces him to marry her anyway.
