The Magic Door is a 2007 fantasy film.
Liam and Sally are two children who don't get along with their new stepmother. They run away and help a troll who's looking for a door that leads to his homeworld.
This film provides examples of:
- All Trolls Are Different: Trolls normally turn to stone in sunlight, but Raglin is immune because he's smaller than most trolls.
- Cool Gate: It connects Earth to the other world.
- Dark Is Evil: The villain is called the Black Witch.
- Didn't Think This Through: Liam uses his stepmother's chicken as bait, which gets him in trouble when his stepmother inevitable notices the missing chicken.
- Fantastic Racism: Fairies, elves, and trolls hate each other. Things get better in the end.
- Hostage Situation: The Black Witch captures George and Rachel. She'll set them on fire unless Liam and Sally show up with Raglin.
- Magical Seventh Son: Raglin is the seventh son of a seventh son.
- Mirrors Reflect Everything: Liam uses a mirror to reflect the Black Witch's spell.
- Our Elves Are Different: They're forest dwelling creatures who can turn into balls of light.
- The Runaway: Liam and Sally run away and want to live with Raglin.

- Shapeshifter Mode Lock: Liam captures the Black Witch when she's a mouse, which means she doesn't have room to turn back to normal.
- To Serve Man: Liam and Sally think Raglin wants to eat them, but it's just a lie Flip told them to sow discord.
- Walking Shirtless Scene. Flip and the other male elves never wear shirts.
- Wicked Stepmother: Liam and Sally see their stepmother as this.
- Wicked Witch: The Black Witch wants to kill the Fairy Princess and steal her identity.
