The letter that was with the elf.

The Elf (Alternate Title: The Enchanted) is a Christmas Slasher Movie by Tristan Price.

Victoria (Natassia Halibi) and Nick (Gabriel Miller) are a young couple who are about to celebrate Christmas, despite the latter's dislike of the holiday owing to a party that he attended as a kid. While checking out an old shop owned by Nick's grandfather, Nick finds an old trunk containing a Creepy Doll of a Christmas elf, and a note that he reads out loud.

After leaving the shop, the two return home and see the doll is now there. Later, they're visited by their families, who've come to spend Christmas with them. They can't leave, however, due to a blizzard raging outside... then the doll starts stalking and killing them.

The film was released on February 14th, 2016. The movie got something of a sequel, Elves (2017).

The Elf contains examples of:

  • Christmas Carolers: A group of carollers shows up in the middle of the movie. The elf kills them with a string of Christmas lights.
  • Closed Circle: Everyone is trapped in the house by a snowstorm, unable to leave.
  • Creepy Doll: The elf doll. When Nick first sees it, its eyes even look solid white. And that's BEFORE the doll comes to life.
  • Dwindling Party: The movie starts with 8 people in the house, and ends with 1.
  • Extremely Short Timespan: The majority of the movie happens on Christmas Eve.
  • Green and Mean: The elf doll wears a green coat and hat, and is out to kill everyone on its naughty list.
  • Living Toys: The elf doll is alive and murderous.
  • Mouth Stitched Shut: In the prologue, the toymaker is seen sewing a kid's mouth shut.
  • Murderer P.O.V.: Sometimes, the camera shows things from the elf's P.O.V. as it moves about the house.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: The elf doll is capable of showing up and moving around when the camera isn't trained on it.
  • Psycho Knife Nut: The elf doll is regularly seen with a knife in its hand.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Fred and his wife decide to leave in the middle of the movie, and the couple head for their car, where the elf kills them.
  • Shout-Out: When Victoria mentions how she's spending the holidays with Nick in their house, which is located in a large open field, Skye asks her if she's seen The Amityville Horror.
  • Shower Scene: Nick goes into the shower at one point. While he's there, he has a psychotic episode about the traumatic Christmas party from his childhood.
  • Slasher Smile: The elf sometimes has a rather unsettling smile with straight white teeth and broken, jagged lips.
  • The Stoner: Skye's first scene has her smoking from a bong.
  • Twisted Christmas: The movie is about people being killed on Christmas Eve by a killer Christmas elf doll.
