A 2007 satirical sports comedy directed by Tom Brady (the director of The Hot Chick, not the football player) that has a coach (David Koechner) down on his luck and takes a rag-tag group of misfits towards a football championship.

The movie also stars Carl Weathers, Melora Hardin, Brooke Nevin, Robert Richard, Noureen DeWulf, Matthew Lawrence, Nick Searcy, Jackie Long, and Jesse Garcia.

It was released on October 19, 2007.

Tropes for the film:

  • Academic Athlete: Spoofed, where the eponymous college football team is, to a man, on the Dean's list. Their coach, however, is upset upon hearing this, as it doesn't fit with the dumb, irresponsible jock stereotype. He encourages them to slack off and party more often.
  • Pretentious Pronunciation: George Johnson insists his name is pronounced "Jorge Juanson' in a feeble attempt to accentuate his Latin heritage.
  • Redundant Parody: A particularly egregious example. The film has a segment that directly parodies the "dodge a wrench" scene from DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story... a comedy film that also mocks sport-film tropes and that already played the wrench scene for laughs.
  • Sequel Snark: After winning the climatic football game and vowing to leave the sport forever, Coach Fields is offered a job coaching basketball at "Sequel University".
  • Teeth Flying: Coach Fields tries to intimidate George Johnson into stepping in line, and even invites him to attack him. After being knocked down by a savage headbutt, Coach's tooth is returned to him by another player.
