A 1975 American Family Adventure Drama directed by Stewart Raffill following the Robinson family (Robert Logan, Susan Damante, Holly Holmes, and Ham Larsen) moving to the wilderness to get away from the city and try to live off the grid.
The movie also stars George Buck Flower, Bruno The Bear, and John F Goff.
It was released on December 19, 1975. It was followed by The Further Adventures Of The Wilderness Family and Mountain Family Robinson.

- Bears Are Bad News: The family gets menaced by Three-Toes several times. Averted in the case of Samson, who later comes to their rescue.
- Beary Friendly: The massive black bear Samson, who might look dangerous and is quite the powerhouse, but is a Gentle Giant and friendly to the old mountain man and frontier family. The grizzly bear Three-Toes on the other hand is firmly at the other side of the spectrum. Samson even has a Big Damn Heroes moment when he rushes to the wife and children's rescue to go mano-a-mano with Three-Toes.
- Big Town Boredom: The movie is based on a true story of a Los Angeles man who, having gotten fed up with the stress of the big city life, moved with his wife and two children to a remote cabin in the Rocky Mountains.
