"Women—is the fucking you get worth the fucking you get?"
Martin Bormann

Supervixens is a 1975 Exploitation Film directed by Russ Meyer.

Clint is a hapless gas station attendant who constantly takes crap from his controlling wife, SuperAngel. The two have it out when she believes he has been cheating on her at work, and Clint runs away when a neighbor calls the police. The cop, Harry Sledge, is seduced by SuperAngel, but when she taunts him for being unable to perform in bed, he murders her. The murder is pinned on Clint, who's forced to flee across the country. Along the way, he runs into various women who are all determined to get into his pants, whether he wants it or not, and get him in all sorts of trouble.

Tropes:

  • Electrified Bathtub: Harry kills SuperAngel by dropping a radio while she's submerged in a bathtub (this is somehow not the most horrifying part of that scene, as this is after he stomps on her so hard that the water turns completely bloody).
  • Fugitive Arc: Clint is forced to go on the lam after Harry kills SuperAngel and frames him.
  • Ironic Name: Clint's cruel wife SuperAngel is anything but angelic, while SuperVixen is very kind to him (calling a woman "vixen" often carries negative connotations).
  • The Loins Sleep Tonight: SuperAngel wants to sleep with Harry as thanks for ridding her of Clint, but Harry can't get it up. This causes SuperAngel to viciously mock him, which in turn angers Harry so much that he brutally murders her.
  • Mail-Order Bride: The farmer who welcomes Clint in his home has a hot Austrian wife named SuperSoul that he got by mail-order.
  • Recurring Element: Russ Meyer's obsession with Nazis shows itself here too; Clint's boss at the gas station is a German named Martin Bormann. Oddly, he's one of the few people around that could be seen as a voice of reason.
  • Significant Double Casting: Clint's cruel wife SuperAngel is played by Shari Eubank, as is SuperVixen, the far kinder woman Clint settles with at the end.
  • Theme Naming: All the women Clint meets are named Super(Something). The second part of the name tends to be a Shout-Out to some previous heroine of Meyer's movies.
