Tropes for the film:

  • Church of Happyology: Eventualism: "Eventualislm isn't designed to answer all questions. It's designed to question all answers. It's not about healing pain. It's about the pain of healing." Also, the book is written by T. Azimuth Schwitters and features a volcano on the cover. The creators are adamant that it's most certainly not a parody of any real religions.
  • One-Word Title: Schizopolis.
  • Pants-Free: A man wearing a t-shirt with the film title runs from the camera, revealing that he is wearing nothing else.
  • The Unintelligible: Elmo speaks in a weird, drawling language that includes such expressions as "Arsenal! Nose army," (a greeting), "throbbing dust expression" (roughly, "nice place"), and "ambassador landmine" (roughly, "let us copulate"). When compelled to speak in normal English, he he becomes almost psychotically frantic.
