The crossover between Samurai Sentai Shinkenger and Engine Sentai Go-onger. Adapted into Clash of the Red Rangers, the feature-length crossover between Power Rangers Samurai and Power Rangers RPM.

A few months have passed since the Go-Ongers defeated Gaiark's many ministers, including Prime Minister Yogoshimacritein. However, when Speedor and the other Engines gather the team together to defeat Gaiark's President and leader, Batcheed, all of them are effortlessly defeated by the vile leader of Gaiark. Some time later, Takeru Shiba and his team, the Shinkengers, end up facing some mysterious troops when they cross paths with Sousuke/Go-on Red, but Sousuke and Takeru's personalities and methods of fighting don't really agree with each other.

Meanwhile, Batcheed meets up with the Shinkengers' enemy, the Gedoushu, to help them raise the level of the Sanzu River and rule over every single Braneworld at the same time, sending everyone, except Takeru and Sousuke, to other worlds. Now, the two Red Rangers must work together and hang on while the rest of their teams try to find their way back to the two leaders before it's too late.

This movie contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Big Bad: Pollution President Batcheed. Since he's the leader of the Gaiark, he's also the Greater-Scope Villain of Engine Sentai Go-onger.
  • Crossover Power Acquisition: Sosuke gets to use the Kyoryu Disc to obtain Hyper Mode just like the Shinkengers can.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: The Shinkenger's successors, Tensou Sentai Goseiger, make their first appearance in this movie, where they take on Akumaro, Dayu and Juzo when they try to ambush the Shinkengers and Go-Ongers. This would begin a new trend of up-coming new Sentai teams making a cameo appearance in the team-up movie of their two predecessors.
  • Heel–Face Turn: The Three Pollution Ministers want nothing to do with Batcheed's plan, instead opting to raid the Gold Sushi cart.
  • In the Name of the Moon: For the Vs. movie, both teams give their roll call in succession. In this case, the previous team (Go-Onger) goes first, followed by the current team (Shinkenger).
Sousuke: Mach Full Force! Go-On Red!note
    Renn: Just Correct! Go-On Blue!"note
    Saki: Smile Blooming! Go-On Yellow!note
Hant: Doki Dokinote  Delight! Go-On Green!note
    Gunpei: Dash Dynamic! Go-on Black!note
Hiroto: Break the Limit! Go-On Gold!note
    Miu: Sparkling World! Go-On Silver!note
    Takeru: "Shinken Red, Shiba Takeru."
    Ryunosuke: "Similarly, Blue. Ikenami Ryunosuke."
    Mako: "Similarly, Pink. Shiraishi Mako."
    Chiaki: "Similarly, Green. Tani Chiaki."
    Kotoha: "Similarly, Yellow. Hanaori Kotoha."
    Genta: "Similarly, Gold. Umemori Genta."
Sousuke: "Pressing forward on the Road of Justice!
Takeru: "The Samurai Sentai authorized by the Providence:..."
    Shinkengers: "Shinkenger!"
    Go-Ongers: Engine Sentai Go-Onger!"
    Go-On Wings: "Go-On Wings!"
    All: "Forward!"
  • More Expendable Than You: Most of the conflict between Takeru and Sosuke later on is because of this. The other Shinkenger are duty bound to sacrifice themselves for Takeru if need be which he accepts if not exactly thrilled by. The Go Onger very much do NOT see themselves this way and Sosuke wants to save them by any means possible.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Sosuke and Takeru.
  • Villain Team-Up: Batcheed allies with Dokoku and the Gedoshu.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: Sosuke is getting on Takeru's nerves by being... well, himself. Chiaki comments to Mako that Takeru seems to be putting his annoyed face on. They share a knowing look. When Takeru refuses to work with Sosuke while later, Chiaki merely mutters 'Here we go.'.
  • Transformation Sequence: This movie has a unique sequence featuring the Go-Ongers and Shinkengers transforming side by side.
  • Versus Title
