A 1983 American Made-for-TV Movie directed by Noel Black and starring Helen Hunt as Tami Maidia, a real-life Oregon teen who became the quarterback for her high school's junior varsity football team in spite of being a girl.

The movie also stars Don Murray, Barbara Babcock, Dana Elcar, John Stockwell, Daphne Zuniga, Severn Darden, Carmen Argenziano, Tim Robbins, Nancy Parsons, and Jonna Lee.

It aired on December 3, 1983 on CBS.

Tami proves to be both more elusive and more accurate than the starting QB, and earns so much respect from her teammates that they help finance her evening at the school prom.
