The third post-series film installment for Psych, which was released November 2021.

Lassiter is facing a crisis, wondering if he'll be able to keep his job as Chief of Police. Shawn and Juliet are wondering if they're ready to have a child. Father-to-be Gus is madly preparing for a shotgun wedding that may not be able to happen, because it turns out Selene has a past and lots of false identities. Shawn and Gus hit the road to figure out who Selene really is.

This film contains examples of:

  • Actor Allusion: Shawn gives Gus a new last name, which is Shawn's actor's real surname. He only started appending it to his stage name in 2020.
Shawn: And this is my partner Burton Guster Rodriguez.
    Gus: Rodriguez?
Shawn: It was always there, man.
  • Affectionate Parody: The movie ends with a music video mocking typical 80s fare.
  • Altar the Speed: Gus is determined that his baby will not be born outside of wedlock (it would kill his mother). In the end, Selene goes into labor and Gus runs around collecting laptops so that Father Wesley can officiate while Curt Smith plays guitar all before the baby is born.
  • Awesome by Analysis: Lassiter looks to be doing this in The Teaser. Turns out he's getting cues from Shawn via an earpiece.
  • The Bus Came Back: Father Wesley is back for the wedding!
  • Call-Back: When there's a gunshot in the brewery, Gus guesses that it might have been Tap Man, or Catch.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Gus picks up an explosive gender reveal box at the end of the film.
  • Epic Fail: Gus is a terrible ventriloquist.
  • Genre Savvy: Several times.
    • When they come out of the bathroom, Gus is sporting a new band-aid where Shawn emery-boarded his forehead and Shawn's entire face is beet red thanks to Gus smearing it with lipstick. Selene looks over at Juliet in astonishment. Juliet just shakes her head, like "Don't ask."
    • Curt Smith's phone's ringtone is "Warning: Gus calling."
  • Heel Realization: Chief Vick has been married to the job for so long that it's really screwed up her relationship with her family.
  • Identical Stranger: When James Roday Rodriguez puts on a dreads wig and a fake beard, he really does look an awful lot like Rob Zombie.
  • Instant Birth: Just Add Labor!: Subverted. Although Selene gives birth within minutes after we realize she's in labor, she also reveals that her water broke three hours earlier.
  • Karma Houdini: Alan manages to get away with literal murder.
  • Murder the Hypotenuse: Alan kills the Bull and plans to murder Shawn and Gus, pinning the murder on them, so that he get revenge, get back with Selene (Karim), and live free.
  • Mysterious Past: Turns out Selene has one, hardcore. She has someone on tap to back up her various fake identities.
  • Oh, Crap!: Shawn and Gus find a lockbox in Selene's old apartment containing a gun and multiple fake driver's licenses.
  • Old Flame Fizzle: Alan definitely still carries a torch for Selene; she doesn't reciprocate.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The film's title is a pun off This Is Us, which saw a Take That! from Shawn in the second film (on account of Roday Rodriguez starring in a similar show).
  • Sequel Hook: Alan manages to get away, and from the post credits scene, it seems he's not done with Gus and Selene...
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: Turns out Selene wasn't legally married; they didn't need to hunt down Alan and get a divorce.
  • Squick: In-universe. Shawn doesn't respond well to the icky parts of birth.
  • The Stinger: After the credits, we get a scene of Alan in a dark room, developing photos he's taken while stalking Gus and Selene. Lots and lots of photos.
  • Strange Minds Think Alike: Shawn and Gus both walk into Henry's apartment, smell wood, and assume he's building a wooden woman.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: The Bull, a gun runner with connections to the Cartel who everyone thinks is just a normal, helpful businessman.
  • When All You Have Is a Hammer…: Father Wesley keeps slipping back into doing exorcisms during the wedding ceremony.
