Martha is a film by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, starring Karlheinz Boehm and Margrit Carstensen as Helmut and Martha. It is about an abusive marriage. Fassbinder accidentally based the plot on a short story without crediting the author, an experience that later inspired his movie Satansbraten.
