Ludo is a 2015 Indian horror film. Babai, Pele, Ria and Payal are four horny teenagers who, after failing to find a hotel room to have sex in, decide to hide in a shopping mall after hours. Except, they find they're not alone. An elderly white-haired couple approaches them and asks for water, then suggests that they play a game of Ludo with loss resulting in death for one of the party. They, and the audience, are introduced to the dark secret behind the game, a tale of lust, immortality, and dice-rolling.

No relation to the band. "Ludo" is one of the brand names used to market adaptations of the Indian game Pachisi, with American viewers likely more familiar with it as "Parcheesi", "Sorry", or "Trouble".

This film exhibits the following tropes:

  • And Show It to You: Dida rips Babai's heart out of his chest, and then takes a bite out of it.
  • Antagonist Title: The game of Ludo is behind all of the evil, having cursed the Shaman's daughter and her lover to survive on human suffering.
  • Dirty Cop: A pair of them shake the teenagers down for a bribe in return for not bringing them in for underage drinking.
  • Halfway Plot Switch: The first half of the film involves the teenagers on a night out of the town, them sneaking into the mall, playing Ludo, one of them dying, and then they're chased and caught by the villain... who then spends the second half of the film explaining how she and her lover came to be cursed by the evil game of Ludo.
  • Hell Hotel: Before the mall, the teenagers stop at a dilapidated motel where the desk clerk ignores them, the electricity suddenly shuts off, and they might have seen a vampire.
  • Hormone-Addled Teenager: The plot is started by the four teenagers desperately seeking a hotel to have sex in, only to be refused at every turn because the hotels don't want police trouble. They finally get themselves locked in the mall after hours so that they can get it on.
