Kamen Rider Geats: Jyamato Awaking is a V-Cinema film set within the continuity of Kamen Rider Geats, taking place after the events of its final episode, Kamen Rider Geats: 4 Aces and the Black Fox, and Kamen Rider The Winter Movie: Gotchard × Geats — The Strongest Chemy ☆ Gotcha Grand Operation. The film was initially announced after the airing of the former, with a full trailer released later that year on December 15, 2023.

The peace Ace has fostered since his ascension to godhood is shattered with the emergence of a mutant breed of Jyamato, whose romance with a human man threatens the birth of the God Jyamato: a new God of Destruction, and the harbinger of humanity's extinction. What's more, a white-haired version of Ace has arrived from a distant Bad Future, sent by his version of Niramu to set things right and prevent his world's cruel fate... but he's not alone, as an alternate Beroba appears and grants Michinaga Azuma a tremendous power...

Is this new Ace a friend or foe? What is the nature of Buffa's new ability? And with the looming threat of the God Jyamato upon them, will this world's Kamen Riders be able to prevent one final bad end?

Jyamato Awaking released in Japanese theaters on March 8, 2024, with a home video release soon to follow on July 24, 2024.

This film has examples of:

  • Alternate Self: The version of Ace in this movie originates from a Bad Future of sorts, where he Took a Level in Cynic after not only outliving his friends, but also after the God Jyamato awakened and destroyed his future, undoing everything he had worked towards as the God of Creation. He travels back in time to present day Japan in an attempt to kill the God Jyamato and Set Right What Once Went Wrong, causing some friction with the present self of Ace, Michinaga, and their friends. Beroba and Niramu are likewise present in Future!Ace's time despite seeming to die in the present; Beroba claims that she just returned back to her time after "dying" to Michinaga in the main series, implying that dying in the past also led to Niramu respawning back in the future.
  • Back from the Dead: Beroba and Niramu. Beroba's explanation casts the "dead" part into question, as she states that she "returned back to her time" rather than dying in the main series. It doesn't last long for either of them, with Niramu mortally injured by the God Jyamato mere seconds after Future!Ace departs for the past and Beroba succumbing to similar injuries later down the line, though Michinaga successfully changing the future might offer some hope for Niramu's survival at the very least.
  • Bad Future: According to Future!Ace, in his timeline, the God Jyamato awakened and allowed for the Jyamato to overtake humanity.
  • Bloodier and Gorier: In standard fashion for Kamen Rider V-Cinema films, though noticeably downplayed when compared to previous films. Aoto shooting Kiyoharu happens almost completely off-camera, while Michinaga getting run through by Beroba later in the film includes a splatter of CG blood. This is especially egregious in the case of the former, after the main series had a character get shot quite realistically on-screen!
  • Commonality Connection: Haruki forms a bond with Michinaga, due to the both of them being human-Jyamato hybrids.
  • Defusing the Tyke-Bomb: After Haruki is revealed to be the God Jyamato, Michinaga chooses to give him a Cooldown Hug, which ultimately calms down the boy and preventing the Bad Future from happening.
  • Evil Vs Oblivion: Both Future!Ace (who is revealed to be a Knight Templar Anti-Villain) and Beroba return to the present day in order to prevent a Bad Future where everyone is dead or dying at the hands of the God Jyamato.
  • Heel Realization: Present!Ace helps his future self back to the light by reminding him of what he had forgotten: that the friends he had entrusted the future to are capable of making sure the world will not fall to ruin with them around.
  • Mauve Shirt: Kiyoharu is killed not even fifteen minutes into the film after he's shown to be happily running a small food stall with Hazuki. Later flashback scenes show them falling deeply in love in spite of Hazuki's true identity as a Jyamato, further endearing him to the audience post-mortem.
  • Mirror Match: When Future!Ace ends up fighting Present!Ace, they both seemingly fight to a standstill with neither Ace being able to take a meaningful advantage over the other. Which is understandable because they are still the same person, even with the time gap.
  • Once More, with Clarity: After Aoto is revealed to be the officer who killed Kiyoharu, we then see a flashback to when he shoots the poor man, with Aoto shown smirking after he fired his gun.
  • Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Deconstructed. Future!Ace decides to go back to the present to prevent the birth of the God Jyamato, but does not communicate this with the Riders of the present, allowing for Aoto/the King Jyamato to step in and attempt to turn Hazuki/the Queen Jyamato to his ideology. This eventually leads to Hazuki's son Haruki to be revealed as the God Jyamato, but before Future!Ace can intervene his present self stops him, reminding him that the Riders of the present can still solve the problem, which they do by Michinaga calming Haruki down.
  • Super Mode: After being stuck with a retool of Fever Zombie as his strongest form, Michinaga finally gets a proper final form in the form of Plosion Rage, unlocked after Future!Beroba reawakens Michinaga's Jyamato genes in an attempt to render him full Jyamato and spread further chaos for her amusement. Thanks to a timely intervention from Ace, this destructive power is instead focused into the creation of the Plosion Rage Buckle, which Michinaga uses to fight Dooms Geats to a standstill.
  • Took a Level in Cynic: Future!Ace. He's far colder and more pragmatic than present-day Ace, no longer believing in his ideals and lacking any sort of attachment to his old allies after having watched them die in his future. Michinaga and friends' mercy and compassion toward the boy who would become the God Jyamato starts to not only change Future!Ace's perspective, but also quite literally change his future, too.
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: Being the immortal God of Creation naturally meant Ace would outlive Keiwa, Neon, and Michinaga someday. This serves as Future!Ace's Cynicism Catalyst.
